CODE OF ETHICS
We are pleased to announce that on 1st July 2021 the members of the Association adopted unapposed the College of Policing Code of Ethics
The Code of Ethics is a constant reminder of the standards of behaviour expected of those who work or volunteer in the police environment.
Though many of the Local Retired Police Dog Charities are totally independent of their police force, each charity values the high standards expected of those who are associated in any way to the police service.
Local Retired Police Dog Charities are bound by the Charity Commission Guidance & Regulations and of the Fundraising Regulator , whether they are registered charities or not.
It will be for the individual charities to monitor how they measure up to the Code of Ethics.
The Association believes that adopting the Code of Ethics is another strand in our objectives that should give confidence to our supporters that we will do our very best in all our acitivies.
